Academic Standards - Elementary Schools
Our school year is divided into four, nine week periods.  Report cards are marked according to grade levels.  Letter grades begin in 3rd grade.  Students performance will be gauged using the following system:

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

C = Consistently

U = Usually

S = Sometimes

N = Not Yet

Letter Grades - 3rd through 6th

A = 90 - 100

B = 80 - 89

C = 70 - 79

D = 60 - 69

F = Below 60

Students may be put on academic probation if deemed necessary by the teacher and administration.  Occasionally it will be recommended that a student be retained in a grade for a second year.  Such recommendation is only made after careful evaluation and consideration of the child’s performance, capabilities and social behavior.

Various test vehicles are utilized to evaluate a student’s progress and needs.  Some specialized tests may be given during the year if it is determined that it would benefit the student and teacher.

Standardized achievement tests, using the ACSI testing program are administered each spring to 2nd, 4th and 6th grades to determine areas of strength and weakness.
