ARE WE THERE YET?
Newsletter March '08     Prayer Walk Letter

Rainier Christian Schools has been on a long and marvelous journey. We are celebrating because through this last year we crossed many rivers and scaled the peaks of that next mountain range. We are now able to look out over the valley before us and see some of the blessings our Lord has planned for us.

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, (Jeremiah 29:11-14).

We have not yet arrived at our final destination, we have not accomplished our full purpose, we have not attained the level of excellence to which Christ has called us, but He is leading us on to a hope and a future, and we press on. We have come very far and we should celebrate, we should remember the wonderful things our God has done and thank Him for His provision. This celebration cannot just be about what He has done, but must also be about the hope and the future He has planned for us. This celebration must motivate us and strengthen us to “press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called us.”(Philippians 3:14)

As we move forward to preach the Word and build-up  the Kingdom of God through Christian education we will encounter many difficulties, problems, impossibilities, and maybe even a few giants. We will have opportunity to doubt, complain, draw back, or even quit. May God Himself guard our hearts and minds that we will remember what He has done, see what He is doing, and believe He has a good plan for our future that will glorify Him.

“I will never leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous…Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:5-9)

We are not there yet, but we are in the company of the Lord and He will be faithful to deliver us safely to our final destination where we will give Him praise and glory for all eternity.
